GOETHE-FEST IS BACK! The popular festival cum Open Day of Goethe-Institut Hongkong returns for its third edition on 27th October, Saturday. We cordially welcome you, your family and friends to join us for a celebration of German language and culture! Meet the German rap-trio BAMBÄGGA face-to-face in workshop and at open-door live concert, learn German in the most fun way imaginable, discover travel destinations in Germany, try out tasty German cuisines and win great prizes!

We have prepared a host of exciting programs at the open space in front of Hong Kong Arts Centre and at our centre on 13th and 14th floor. While the little ones have fun with face painting or learn German with bunny Hans Hase, adults can go on a Speak Date or a trial German class with our experienced teachers. Speak German already? Show what you can do at the game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” and go on an adventure quest through the Goethe-Institut! This year we have prepared attractive prizes, including a German course at one of the Goethe-Instituts in Germany.

At the Goethe-Fest you will find much more than just language activities. Join a guided tour of Berlin-based artist Rebecca Sampson’s photo exhibition “Apples for Sale: The Parallel Worlds and Queer Lives of Hong Kong’s Housemaids” at the Goethe-Gallery and Black Box, or indulge in the world of German literature at the reading corner or flea market at the Goethe-Library. For photography lovers we have prepared prize-winning photo books for you to leaf through. Looking for more actions? We dare you to dive into the world of Franz Kafka in the virtual-reality installation “VRwandlung”!
Food gurus are in for a treat at the open space with delicious German food and drinks. For visitors with wanderlust, the German National Tourist Office will give you the best travel tips in Germany!

Highlight of the day is the live concert of German Hip-Hop trio BAMBÄGGA with opening act from local rapper MasterMic. Get ready for some strong music vibes!
